In the 1978 road-action film Convoy, Kris Kristofferson's character Martin “Rubber Duck” Penwald pilots the famous Mack truck at the center of a rebellious trucker convoy. The angry duck became part of that truck's unmistakable identity — equal parts humor, defiance and open-road swagger.
Decades later, the same visual language returned in Death Proof, where the angry duck appears on Stuntman Mike's menacing muscle cars. That second screen life turned the little duck into a cross-generation car-culture Easter egg.
